Stone sign on the stone pavement

Posted by
Kyu (Kyoto, Japan) on 24 August 2013 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

In temples, we sometimes see the stone sign. This stone knotted with ropes is giving us a polite notice, "please do not enter from here." It's very polite for photographers who want to take photos with views in temples.
"Small but assertive." That's why I like this stone sign.

So much nicer than some great big board with bold writing on it and it makes a superb image in B&W

" Small but assertive", very interesting to read your note. And your B&W underlines very well this feeling.
Have a nice saturday, best,

The use of the stone is very interesting. I like the tied stone for the way it fits the textures and surface in this excellent black and white image.

A very clever idea for the message through the stone. I hope people listen to it.
